Supercomputer predicts Premier League table as Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool title decided

The BetMGM supercomputer has predicted what the Premier League table could look like at the end of the season, estimating the likelihood of teams finishing in each position in the competition. At the halfway mark of the campaign, Liverpool lead the way, sitting two points clear of Arsenal in second.

Unai Emery's Aston Villa are in third, three points off the Reds whilst reigning champions Manchester City are five points behind the league leaders, although they have a game in hand on their title rivals. Now, the latest simulation by betmgm.co.uk's supercomputer has produced results which suggest that City will once again lift the title come May.

Pep Guardiola's side are said to have a huge 55.2% chance of securing a record fourth consecutive title. Meanwhile, Liverpool are considered to be second favourites, with their title chances placed at 27.30%.

After Thursday's 2-0 defeat to West Ham United, Arsenal are only given a 15.30% chance of ending their 20-year title drought while Villa's title hopes are said to be just 1.94%. Like their north London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur endured a night to forget on Thursday, losing 4-2 to Brighton & Hove Albion in a match that saw them trail 4-0 until a late comeback was sparked.

Spurs currently sit fifth in the table, one point behind City, although they have of course played one match more than Guardiola and Co. The Lillywhites will be keen to finish in the top four this term as they look to get back in the UEFA Champions League, something that the supercomputer has calculated has a 30.51% likelihood of occurring.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are languishing down in tenth, a whopping 12 points off fourth, with the model calculating that the Blues only have a 0.16% chance of securing a top-four finish. The calculations have also predicted Luton Town, Burnley and Sheffield United to be relegated, with their odds of finishing in the bottom three said to be 54.56%, 88.53% and 97.65% respectively.
