SvoNotes: We've seen this movie before, and it turned out all right

Andrew Peeke and Liam Foudy were on the same team as Bemstrom. Péke got his first taste of the NHL and played 22 games. Liam was so impressive as a rookie that the Blue Jackets shuttled him back and forth with London of OHL twice to get him in the lineup. The team has been hit with injuries recently. Brad Larsen believes it can pull the team together. The Blue Jacket's have made the most of it and earned a point against the New York Islanders and a victory at home against Philadelphia. They are 2-0 after two games so far. Marcus Bjork became the first CBJ blueliner to score in his NHL debut.

Christiansen, Bjork and Gavin Bayreuther were called up at the same time. They all played in the game against New York. Christiansen made his NHL debut. Bjorks' father and girlfriend came to watch him play. The team was playing in an international airport hub. The father came from Sweden. He will return in coming weeks. It was fun to see them. The players roomed together on the road in Cleveland and on Long Island. There was a band together in New Jersey. This band stayed together. For Bjorsk it was nice to have the band stay together too. "They're funny guys, and we like to hang with each other and go for dinner and stuff like that."

Vladislav Gavrikov scored the first two overtime goals of the season for the Blue Jackets against Vancouver and the Flyers. He also scored against the Philadelphia Flyers last night.

Gavrikov has been lauded for his defensive skills over the years. He has shown offensive skills in his time with the CBJ. Seth Jones and Zach Werenski were the OT guys in the past. Jones is gone and Weren's is out for the season with a shoulder injury. Gavikov started the overtime for CBj on Tuesday night. The team won the game. It was the second time this year Gvrikova scored in overtime.
