Szczesny: ‘I bet Messi €100 it wasn’t a penalty. I’m not going to pay him’
Szczesny made a bet with Messi that the referee would not award Argentina a penalty during Wednesday's World Cup game. Szczezny's goalkeeper collided with Lionel Messi and the video assistant referee decided to award the penalty. Argentina won the game 2-0. Poland also progressed from the group, but Mexico only beat Saudi Arabia 2,1. Poland lost out on goal difference to their European rivals.
