TD Garden owner to buy Boston Billiard Club; historic horse racing major focus
The Boston Billiard Club & Casino in Nashua is being sold to Delaware North. Delaware owns the TD Garden in Boston and other high-profile venues across four continents. New Hampshire last year passed legislation to allow historical horse racing gaming machines at licensed gaming operations. The Brook Casino and Ocean Gaming at Hampton Beach launched in April. Four more casinos have pending licenses. The state had estimated that operators will get $49 million in annual revenue from historic racing. Charities will see only 8.75% of the gambling wagers.
