Tipman’s Tennis Acca

Nuria Parrizas Diaz v Donna Vekic – Both players to win a set
Andrey Rublev v Daniel Evans – Both players to win a set
Camila Giorgi v Belinda Bencic – Belinda Bencic to win 2-0
Andy Murray v Roberto Bautista Agut – Both players to win a set

Nuria Parrizas Diaz v Donna Vekic – Both players to win a set

Neither Nuria Parrizas Diaz nor Donna Vekic are fancied to win the Australian Open but both have given themselves a serious chance of progression and they will be more than happy with the prospect of meeting each other for a place in the quarter finals. Both come into this after 2-0 victories in the previous round and have never faced each other before so it should make for a very interesting game. Both have eliminated higher ranked opponents on the way to this stage and confidence will be high, so we’ll take both ladies to win a set here.

NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

Andrey Rublev v Dan Evans – Both players to win a set

We’ve another really exciting game in store here as world number 6 Andrey Rublev faces Brit Dan Evans. Evans has looked very sharp in his two matches so far and will definitely give his opponent a massive test. These two have played each other eight times with pretty even records. Evans won 2-0 last time but I expect a much closer game today in a best of 5 so it’s Both Players To Win a Set here.

Camila Giorgi v Belinda Bencic – Belinda Bencic to win 2-0

Swiss world number 10 Belinda Bencic looks to have a really good opportunity of going deep in this tournament and meets a familiar opponent in Camila Giorgi who she has faced four times, winning three of those in straight sets. Bencic won the Adelaide warm up she’s taken that form into this tournament with two straight-set victories. She really looks to have the bit between her teeth and it’s very hard to see anything other than another straight set victory for Bencic.

Ugo Humbert v Holger Rune – Rune to win 3-0

Young Danish world number 10 Holger Runs looks a serious prospect and has already shown he can cope with some of the best players in the world. As the tournament starts to come to the crunch games he looks a serious challenger. He’s been perfect in both games so far, winning both 3-0 and both against higher ranked opponents than today. Ugo Humbert has played some good tennis here but it’s hard to see him having enough so Rune to Win 3-0 looks great value.

Andy Murray v Roberto Bautista Agut – Both players to win a set

Andy Murray just keeps on proving the doubters wrong and has produced the two best games of the tournament so far with two 3-2 victories. This looks a close game on paper and Roberto Bautista Agut is the rightful favourite. However, with Murray’s current mood he cannot be ruled out. These two met in the 2019 Australian open and that was another classic 3-2 game. Both players come here on the back of a five-set win so fitness may show which will result in a close match but we finish with Both Players to Win a Set.
