The 11 Hearts players out of contract next summer including Liam Boyce and Gary Mackay-Steven

Hearts made several new signings during the summer transfer window. Several players are out of contract next summer. Liam Boyce, Gary Mackay-Steven and Michael Smith are among them. They will be free to sign pre-contracts with interested clubs in January. They could leave for nothing at the end of the season.

Hearts have 11 players out of contract next summer. Liam Boyce and Gary Mackay-Steven are among them. Boycie has scored 35 goals in 87 appearances for Hearts since joining the club two years ago. He suffered a long-term injury in last month's win over St Johnstone.

Josh Ginnelly joined Hearts on loan for 2020/21 season. He has made 46 appearances in all competitions since then. Ginnie has been involved in eight of Hearts' games so far this season, including all of their European matches.

Peter Haring has been a key player for Hearts since joining the club on a free transfer in 2018. He has since played in three Scottish Cup finals and has already made 10 appearances for the Jambos this season.

Euan Henderson has struggled to make an impact since making his debut in 2017. He has made just 51 appearances in all competitions in the five years since then. Henderson is out of contract at the end of the season and may look for a new club.

Stephen Humphrys is out of contract next summer. He joined Hearts on a season-long loan from Wigan during the summer but only made his debut for the club in their Europa Conference League defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir last week. Liam Boyce is facing a spell on the sidelines.

Gary Mackay-Steven's contract with Jambos expires at the end of the current season. He has made 63 appearances in all competitions and scored eight goals in that time.

Finlay Pollock made his Hearts debut in the Championship at the end of the 2020/21 season. He has made five appearances since then. Neilson and his coaching staff may decide to hand him a new deal.

Connor Smith came up through the youth ranks at Hearts. He has spent time on loan at several different clubs in recent seasons. Five of his 11 appearances for Hearts have come this season. His contract at the club ends next summer.

Michael Smith has been a key player for Hearts for five years. He has made 173 appearances in all competitions for the Jambos. The 34-year-old is set to turn 35 at the start of next season.

Robert Snodgrass joined Hearts last week on a one-year deal. The former Scotland international has plenty of experience in the English Premier League and at international level. Snogr turned 35 earlier this month.

Ross Stewart joined Hearts permanently last summer after spending the 2020/21 season on loan. He has made just four appearances for the club and his most recent came in the 2-0 defeat to Celtic last month. His contract at Hearts expires at the end of the season.
