FIFA have set aside £189m for clubs with players on international duty during the Qatar World Cup. Newcastle United are set to benefit from the pot. The club will receive around £9,000 per player for every day they are away. If Switzerland reach the semi-finals of the tournament, Newcastle will be in line for a payment of around $300k. The money will come from FIFA's Financial Fair Play regulations. Premier League season is suspended during this time. It will resume on Boxing Day. FIFA will scale the payments down if Brazil or England reach semi finals.
