Wednesday's The Hundred predictions

The matches in this year's Hundred continue to come thick and fast with another double-header on the menu on Wednesday.

Trent Rockets and the Northern Superchargers get the ball rolling just before lunchtime and both the men's and women's match-ups in Nottingham look tough to call.

The second set of matches take place at The Oval, where the Invincibles entertain the Manchester Originals.

The Invicibles women, who have won the first two editions of The Hundred, are favourites to get their title defence belatedly up and running after a defeat and no result in their first two matches, although the Originals did bowl out Birmingham Phoenix for only 87 on Monday.

The best bet of the day could come in the men's clash in south London.

Both sides have struggled to get going, in part down to the recent poor weather, which makes picking a winner of the Oval clash difficult, but there could be some value in the runscorer markets with Will Jacks looking a decent selection to top-score for the hosts.

Only Dawid Malan, Phil Salt and Adam Lyth scored more runs than Jacks in the Hundred last year and he was one of the star performers in this year's Twenty20 Blast.

In an attacking Surrey side, Jacks scored 558 at an average of 37.20 in the Blast and can excel in Wednesday's encounter.
