The online sports betting employee labeled 'the new Paige Spiranac' makes harassment claims

Caroline Weeks, a young woman aspiring for a career in online sports betting, faced persistent harassment, unwanted advances, and uncomfortable propositions from male clients who likened her to Paige Spiranac. The 25-year-old joined PointsBet USA as a senior player development manager in January 2022.

From the outset, she encountered clients who made advances, requested selfies, and made remarks suggesting that her attractiveness played a role in her job.

The harassment reached a disturbing climax during an incident in Atlantic City when an inebriated PointsBet customer repeatedly attempted to touch her and followed her around a company event at a casino for nearly an hour, leading to police intervention.

"I broke down that evening," Weeks told The New York Post.

"I felt completely alone in that moment and my privacy was just utterly forgotten about. It was scary, when you're dealing with intoxicated men who are much bigger than you and older than you. I think people who don't understand the word 'no' are dangerous people."

Weeks has highlighted the persistent challenges she faced in her role due to unwanted attention and inappropriate behavior from clients.

They even went so far as to label her as "the new Paige Spiranac." Spiranac is a former professional golfer with a significant social media following, known for her occasional revealing photos and PointBet commercials.

"With Paige, she chooses to monetize her image, her personality, and body. I get it," Weeks added.

"She has the looks and she chose to run with it. Me, however, I have a completely different job. I wasn't there to be a glamorized poster girl for the job, I was there to do a job and do it professionally. My job was to not to get a flirt on with clients."
