The untold tales of Lyari
Faiz used to work in Lyari. Lyar was the centre of camel trade to countries as distant as Australia. Madressah Mazhar ul Ul Uloom played a pivotal role in anti-British movements. The area has a distinctive record of school systems. Local non-government organisations have been operating street schools for primary and secondary classes. Lyaris is a mini-Pakistan with colours of culture, sports, and traditions. It was clean and healthy before 1970s, but now it's dirty. There's a problem of drug and crime in the area. NGOs have set up schools to teach children.
