Alex Ovechkin is on the verge of becoming the second-highest scorer in NHL history. He is currently second on NHL's all-time goals list at 801. Oviachkin has been in a scoring slump before. Wayne Gretzky is the only player who has passed Gordie Howe. Mark Howe, a former NHL player and currently the director of pro scouting for the Red Wings, reckons Ovachkon will catch Gretzy soon. The last time this happened, Ovellchk went three games without a goal. In February 2020, he scored on back-to-back nights to reach 700.
