Thunder vs. Sixers prediction and odds for NBA Summer League (Under is best bet)

The Thunder and Sixers finish up action in Salt Lake City, Utah before heading to Las Vegas for NBA Summer League.

Both teams played on Wednesday to opposite results as the Sixers won by 10 and Thunder lost by eight. However, both teams will get a third game under their belt before heading out to the desert in hopes of going above .500 with both teams entering at 1-1.

Here are the odds and our best bet for Thursday’s action.

Thunder vs. Sixers odds, spread and total

Spread:

  • Thunder: -4 (-110)
  • Sixers: +4 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Thunder: -175
  • Sixers: +150

Total: 184.5 (Over -110/Under -110)

Thunder vs. Sixers prediction and pick

After each team played in high scoring matchups on Wednesday night, the Sixers broke 100 with a full game total of 198 while the Thunder played a game with a total of 180, I’m going to back some natural regression and tired legs playing a role and go with the under.

The Thunder in particular have a lot of NBA-level players on the roster, including Chet Holmgren, who played in 31 minutes on Wednesday. With a heavy schedule over the next week or so, including traveling to Las Vegas, I believe there can be some shorter minutes for the better players on each roster.

Philadelphia continues to get middling three-point shooting, the team is shooting 31% across two games, and I believe that the pace will slow down after both teams played high tempo games in each of the first two.

This is the first back-to-back set for these Summer League rosters and I believe the betting market is overreacting to the first handful of high scoring games.

I’ll back the under in the final Summer League tune up.

PICK: UNDER 184
