Thunder @ Warriors tips, picks and prop bets: OKC to shoot the lights out in revenge win

The red-hot OKC Thunder are chasing revenge as they meet the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center.

Thunder @ Warriors game pick

The Golden State Warriors are just 6-6 after a four-game skid that has seen them lose to the Timberwolves twice, the Cavaliers and the Nuggets.

On the other hand, this exciting Oklahoma City Thunder group is 7-4 having posted a statement win against the Suns followed by a blowout of the Spurs.

History tells us that Steph Curry and co tend to respond well to adversity, but it also tells us they struggle without him, and he won’t play this evening.

The Thunder are allowing opposing teams to shoot just 43.9% from the field, which makes them the third stingiest defence in the NBA.

Adding to Steve Kerr’s woes is a five-game suspension for Draymond Green for his role in an on-court scuffle with the Timberwolves.

His absence is just as big as OKC rank sixth in points per game, averaging 116.55.

Green and Curry are without doubt generational talents and even with them on the floor, the Warriors edged out the Thunder 141-139.

His influence is illustrated by the fact Golden State have won 581 (65%) games with him on the court since 2011.

In his absence, they’ve lost 143 (64%) of 224 games, including one this season.

Mark Daigneault’s side like to push the pace and rank fifth in the NBA. They’ll also be playing with revenge on their mind so we expect a big effort and win for the hosts.

Equally, the total is too low. Warriors home games may average 214ppg and OKC’s road games 213ppg, but the pair have averaged 261 across five meetings this year.

Thunder @ Warriors prop bets

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s field-goal percentage is 53.4% this season and he’s averaging just shy of 30ppg. He’ll be motivated to take over in this game.

Chet Holmgren is averaging 7.5 rebounds and his line is set at 7.5. He pulled in eight during the last meeting and may be able to grab that extra board in Green’s absence.

Klay Thompson is averaging 14.6ppg but he scored 18 against OKC. In Curry’s absence, he has to do more and he’ll probably make more three-point attempts.
