Hunter’s analysis: This is what you call a mismatch on paper, folks. The Jaguars’ defense has surrendered the second-most targets (46), third-most receptions (39) and fifth-most receiving yards (243) to opposing running backs so far this season. Since returning from suspension in Week 4, Kamara has led Saints’ pass-catchers in both receptions (23) and targets (25). Combine that information with Jacksonville’s 23.3% pressure rate and you’re going to see a ton of checkdown passes from Derek Carr.
An interesting stat: The Saints have hit the under in ELEVEN straight games, dating back to the end of 2022. Both teams will likely lean on the run game, especially Jacksonville if Trevor Lawrence isn’t fully healthy, which hopefully leads to field goals and a low-scoring affair.
