Toluca shocks Top-seeded América, advances to Liga MX Final
Toluca beat América 3-2 on aggregate to advance to the Liga MX Finals. The Aguilas came into the semifinal series on a 14-game unbeaten streak. Henry Martín scored a late goal that was disallowed.
Toluca beats América to reach the Liga MX Final. America finished the Apertura 2022 in first place. Toluca will play Pachuca in the Final next week. Pachauca leads No. 2 Monterrey 5-2 after the first leg. The second leg takes place on Sunday in Monerrey. It's Tolucas 13th Liga Mexico Final in Nacho Ambriz's second season in charge. He's also won the title twice.
