Trade Candidate Series: Could Kyle Kuzma head back to Los Angeles?

Kyle Kuzma is a forward who played for the Los Angeles Lakers and Washington Wizards. He is an extension-eligible player who could be of interest to the LA Clippers. He can play both small forward and power forward. His contract expires next year and he could get a max contract of $70 million. The last edition of the series focused on Harrison Barnes of Sacramento Kings. It's the fourth installment of "Trade Candidate Series". It started with Draymond Green, then moved to Pascal Siakam of Toronto Raptors. Today, we look at another forward with ties to Los Angles.

The Wizards are considering a deal for Kyle Kuzma. The deal would be difficult to complete. It would involve Marcus Morris Sr. and Luke Kennard. They are under contract until at least 2023-24. Kukzma and Will Barton can be free agents after 2022-23 season.

The Wizards are hard capped. A deal involving Kuzma and Kennard would be too expensive for them. The Clippers would have to find a solution to their forward depth issues. Porzingis would seem to be the easier player to target.   for the Wizards. Kukuzha is a player who could help the team. He has experience making sacrifices to fill a role. For now, a return to Los Angeles doesn't look to have any value for him.
