UFC 293 Fight Card Odds

UFC 293 odds are as of 9:38 a.m. ET on Monday, Sept. 4.

UFC 293 Main Event: Israel Adesanya (-650) vs. Sean Strickland (+475)

This weekend’s main event sees Israel Adesanya (24-2) defending the UFC Middleweight Championship against Sean Strickland (27-5).

After losing the middleweight gold to Alex Pereira at UFC 281, Adesanya regained his title five months later with a second-round KO win over Pereira. The “Last Stylebender” is also 5-0 in five previous trips to Australia, which includes unifying the middleweight title on his last trip to the country.

Meanwhile, this fight is Strickland’s first crack at UFC gold. The former KOTC Middleweight Champion has found plenty of success lately, winning eight of his last 10 fights. He’s also won back-to-back outings, most recently TKO’ing Abusupiyan Magomedov back in July.

UFC 293 Co-Main Event: Tai Tuivasa (+210) vs. Alexander Volkov (-250)

The UFC 293 co-main should be a violent affair as Tai Tuivasa (14-5) and Alexander Volkov (36-10) collide for a heavyweight showdown.

Tuivasa began making noise with a five-knockout winning streak from 2020 to 2022. Unfortunately, he’s been trending in the wrong direction since then, having been knocked out by Ciryl Gane and Sergei Pavlovich in his last two outings.

Volkov, on the other hand, looks for his first three-fight winning streak in nearly five years. The dangerous Russian combatant is the clear-cut favorite in this fight, though, following back-to-back first-round TKO victories against Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Alexander Romanov.

Flyweight: Manel Kape (-340) vs. Felipe dos Santos (+280)

Oddsmakers are heavily favoring Manel Kape (18-6) in his flyweight bout with Brazil’s Felipe dos Santos (7-0, 1NC). The favorite’s -340 moneyline odds carry an implied win probability of 77.3%.

After a 0-2 start to his UFC career, Kape is back on track. “Starboy” heads to Sydney riding a three-fight winning streak with two of those victories coming via knockout.

At the same time, dos Santos is making his highly-anticipated UFC debut. The 22-year-old prospect has proven that he knows how to finish the job, having picked up three of his seven career wins by submission and another two by knockout.

Heavyweight: Justin Tafa (-210) vs. Austen Lane (+180)

Another heavyweight bout on the UFC 293 main card pits Justin Tafa (6-3, 1NC) head-to-head against Austin Lane (12-3, 1NC).

This fight is the second time that Tafa and Lane are meeting this year. The upcoming opponents previously collided in June but their fight had to be cut short when Lane accidentally jammed his finger in Tafa’s eye, resulting in a no-contest.

Having said that, both men were building momentum ahead of their previous meeting. Tafa was coming off back-to-back knockout victories while Lane had finished six consecutive opponents.

Light Heavyweight: Tyson Pedro (+105) vs. Anton Turkalj (-125)

Tyson Pedro (9-4) hopes to put an end to his slump when he faces off with Anton Turkalj (8-2) at Qudos Bank Arena.

MMA career, Pedro has gone 3-4 in his last seven fights. Although things looked like they were turning around last year, his winning ways came to an end at UFC 284 with a unanimous decision loss to Modestas Bukauskas.

At the same time, Turkalj is also desperate for a victory. After impressing on Dana White’s Contender Series 2022, the 27-year-old Swede tasted defeat in each of his first two official UFC bouts, leaving time to tell if he can turn things around.

UFC 293 Preliminary Card Odds

Light Heavyweight: Carlos Ulberg (-245) vs. Da Un Jung (+210)

One of the highlights of the UFC 293 preliminary card is the light heavyweight tilt between the red-hot Carlos Ulberg (8-1) and Da Un Jung (15-4-1).

Ulberg has a pep in his step as he heads down under with victories in each of his last four fights — including KO/TKO victories in his most recent three. Meanwhile, Jung looks to be in trouble following losses to Dustin Jacoby (via KO) and Devin Clark (via UD) in his last two fights.

Featherweight: Jack Jenkins (-205) vs. Chepe Mariscal (+175)

Australia’s Jack Jenkins (12-2) puts his nine-fight winning streak on the line when he goes one-on-one with Chepe Mariscal (14-6, 1NC) in a featherweight fight.

Jenkins hasn’t had any issues fitting into the UFC, improving to 3-0 to begin his tenure following a split-decision win over Jamall Emmers in June. Meanwhile, Mariscal is fresh off a UD victory against Trevor Peek in his debut, extending his own winning ways to four consecutive outings.

Lightweight: Jamie Mullarkey (-270) vs. John Makdessi (+230)

Jame Mullarkey (16-6) will be the clear favorite when he steps into the octagon with John Makdessi (18-8) at UFC 293.

After an impressive 4-1 run, Mullarkey was most recently knocked out by Muhammad Naimov back in June, leaving fans wondering if he can rebound. On the flip side, Makdessi is also aiming for a bounce-back performance after dropping two of his last three contests by unanimous decision.

Lightweight: Nasrat Haqparast (-500) vs. Landon Quinones (+375)

Another lopsided affair this weekend pits the returning Nasrat Haqparast (14-5) against the debuting Landon Quinones (7-1-1).

Haqparast guns for consecutive victories for the first time in two years after a UD win over John Makdessi just over a year ago. Quinones, meanwhile, has one each of his last five fights with four of those victories by way of knockout.

UFC 293 Early Prelims Odds

Welterweight: Mike Mathetha (+260) vs. Charlie Radtke (-310)

When it comes to the UFC 293 early prelims, fans will want to tune in to see the welterweight scrap between Mike Mathetha (3-2) and Charlie Radtke (7-3).

Mathetha hopes to make his Australian supporters proud as he looks to get back on track following back-to-back losses to Jeremiah Wells and Orion Cosce. He’s facing the debuting Radtke, who has finished three of his last four opponents (two via KO, one via submission).

Featherweight: Shane Young (-184) vs. Gabriel Miranda (+159)

Shane Young (13-7) hopes to stop the bleeding when he meets Gabriel Miranda (16-6) inside the cage on Saturday.

Despite being the favorite, Young doesn’t look like it following three consecutive losses. Miranda also knows what defeat feels like after a TKO loss to Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC Fight Night 209 ended his streak of three straight victories.

Welterweight: Kevin Jousset (-150) vs. Kiefer Crosbie (+130)

Lastly, the early prelims action also includes a welterweight showdown between New Zealand’s Kevin Jousset (8-2) and Ireland’s Kiefer Crosbie (10-3).

This meeting marks Jousset’s first-ever UFC fight after picking up victories in six of his last seven outings. While it’s also Crosbie’s promotional debut, “Big Daddy” already looks dangerous with TKO victories over Brian Lo-A-Njoe and Alex Oliveira in his two previous fights.
