UFC Star Knocking Opponents Out in World Poker Tour Tampa

UFC star Colby Covington is playing in the World Poker Tour Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Main Event. He had already bagged 212,500 chips in Friday's session. Marcus Stein was the chip leader for the session at 441,000 chips. Coventry finished the day with 350, 500 chips, good for fifth place and 140 big blinds.

Covington is a professional fighter and poker player. He is playing in a tournament in Tampa. First place is set to pay $615,500 at the conclusion of the final table on Wednesday. Covingon won his first live poker tournament last August. He considers the game to be a mental warfare fight. His overall live tournament results are above $150,000. The tournament is taking place in the Tampa area. It's taking part in an event that pays $600,00. A winner will be announced on the last table.   Covfridon has a 17-3 UFC record.

Davis is still sitting pretty with 252,500 chips. Ray Qartomy is the current WPT Player of the Year leader. Jake Ferro is third best with 387,000 chips, behind Solang Ung (390,00) and Stein (441,5000). David Farber is fourth with364, 500 chips and is seeking his first Wpt final table appearance.

1,165 people paid $3,500 for a place in the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Tampa. The prize pool was $4.7 million. Brian Altman won the same event a year ago. There are 418 players left.
