UFC Vegas 66 preview, ‘Cannonier vs Strickland’ predictions
Ultimate Fighting Championship is closing out its 2022 fight campaign with one final mixed martial arts (MMA) event this Saturday. The headliner is a middleweight head-to-head between former title challenger Jared Cannonier and certified wackadoodle Sean Strickland. Patrick Stumberg has provided the preliminary card breakdowns for the UFC Vegas 66. Andrew Richardson did most of the heavy lifting for rest of UFC Las Vegas 67 main card.
Jared Cannonier is considered the third-best middleweight in the UFC. He has lost to Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker. Sean Strickland has taken down 20 times in his UFC career but scored just two takedowns. He is a bit unorthodox and his performance will tell us if he's a legitimate mixed martial artist or just a clown collecting a paycheck. The winner will face either Derek Brunson or Jack Hermansson. They will meet at UFC Vegas 66. It will take place on the MGM Grand Arena. iReport.com.
Damir Ismagulov makes his UFC debut against Arman Tsarukyan. Tsarukh is a five-year-old prospect who won a fight of 155-pound prospects against Mateusz Gamrot at UFC Vegas 57. IsMagulova has yet to score a finish under the UFC banner. He has no performance bonuses. He is not a threat of wrestling or knockout power. Arar is the betting favorite. It's his fourth performance bonus since joining the promotion back in April 2019. His debut came against now-lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.
