UNCF New Orleans to host the 35th Anniversary Walk for Education
The UNCF (United Negro College Fund) Walk for Education is on Saturday, October 22, at 8:30 a.m. at the University of Louisiana and along Lakeshore Drive. The event is in-person after going virtual the past two years. It raises funds for historically Black colleges and universities. WWL-TV (Channel 4) and the university are presenting sponsors. The WWl- TV (channel 4), Shell and Wells Fargo Bank are local master’s sponsors of the event. UN CF has been helping HBCUs for 78 years and despite heavy odds.
