USMNT reportedly opens contract talks with Gregg Berhalter; Good idea?

Gregg Berhalter's contract with the USMNT ends at the end of the year. He is interested in taking a job in Europe. Berhalt won the CONCACAF Nations League and Gold Cup with two different groups and got out of World Cup group. He recruited Sergino Dest and Yunus Musah and convinced Malik Tillman, Gaga Slonina, and Jesus Ferreira that the U.S. was the right place for their national team futures.

Gregg Berhalter's USMNT career was either amazing or a minor success. He is 49 and is far from the worst or the best boss in USMSNT history. Whoever takes over four years from now will have a chance to go down as either the worse or best manager. USSNT are playing in the 2022 World Cup. The hosts have historically had a better chance of reaching the semifinals. USSF would have to be confident that picking the team is going to happen. If Berhalt wants to get more matchdays in his life, he could go back to the club game.
