Versatility key to Dubawi landing his first sire's championship in 2022

Dubawi will win his first sire's championship in 2022. Dubawi comes from the Mr Prospector line. He was runner-up to Galileo for a sixth time in 2020. His father died in the summer of 2021. Frankel won the championship the same year.  Dubawi's father is from a different line to the Northern Dancer sires. The Northern dancer line dominated the siring's championships since 1989. It was the last time a champion sired didn't have Northerndancer on the top line of his pedigree. Blushing Groom was champion in 1989 thanks to Nashwan.

Dubawi won his first championship in 2010. Coroebus won the 2000 Guineas and St James's Palace Stakes. Dubawi's average distance of his winners is 9.5 furlongs. His daughter Emily Dickinson was fifth in the St Leger and won Loughbrown Stake at the Curragh. Dubawiya's stable-companion Lazuli is another son of Dubawa.

Dubawi was responsible for the Breeders' Cup winners of the Mile and Turf for a second year running. Dubawi's other successes were at Keeneland and in Dubai. Modern Games and Rebel's Romance were successful. Rebel’s Romance is unbeaten in five starts on turf. His pedigree has influences from both turf and dirt.
