VRC Kennedy Oaks Tips for Trifecta

Punters should have four runners on their ticket for the Kennedy Oaks trifecta. We recommend taking a boxed percentage trifecta. Spend what you want, and the payouts can be massive.

  • Zardozi
  • Amazonian Lass
  • Served Cold
  • Tropical Squall

VRC Kennedy Oaks Tips for First-Four

We have included seven runners for our Kennedy Oaks first-four. Boxing all seven selections for a percentage can still result in a huge payout, and you spend what you want.

  • Zardozi
  • Amazonian Lass
  • Served Cold
  • Tropical Squall
  • Harlow Mist
  • Basilinna
  • Ethel Maude

VRC Kennedy Oaks Form Guide & Tips

1. Tropical Squall ($3.70)

She has yet to run a bad race, including a second placing behind Autumn Angel at Caulfield last time out.

Any runner from the Waterhouse/Bott stable needs to be considered in the Oaks, and we’re not leaving her out of our selections.

2. Zardozi (Best Bet – $3.10)

She was a tragedy beaten on Saturday, but the James Cummings-trained filly could go one better this time around.

She showed her class when winning impressively two starts back and getting $3.10 for a runner of her ability is excellent shopping.

Put her on top in all selections.

3. Amazonian Lass (Best Each Way – $10)

The Waterhouse/Bott-trained filly defeated Zardozi by a nose on Saturday, so she must be considered here.

Getting double-figure odds is too good to pass up, and she has Oaks filly written all over here.

We’re happy to back her at the price.

4. Served Cold (Best Roughie – $12)

The real Served Cold came to play at Geelong, and although she was facing much easier opposition, it was an effortless win.

There is plenty of upside with this runner. She has raw talent, and we expect her to sit out the back and wait patiently for her run.

5. Harlow Miss ($15)

Harlow Miss started her career with three consecutive wins before placing in her last two.

Being from the John Sargent stable adds a lot of appeal, and he knows how to get staying fillies up for this race.

Include her in first four picks.

6. Coco Sun ($41)

She looked good early on, but her form since winning consecutive races hasn’t been good.

We don’t think she’s running well enough to figure in the finish.

7. Basilinna ($9)

Money has come following her third placing behind Autumn Angel and Tropical Squall.

She was a $31 chance on that occasion, but she’s bred to stay, and we’re including her in first four picks.

Having Damien Oliver riding helps, and that will drive down her odds.

8. Aethelflaed ($12)

Respected with betting markets following a fourth at Flemington last Saturday. She was 3.6 lengths behind the top two picks, and we don’t think she’ll make up that deficit.

9. Wings of Song ($51)

Running second at Benalla isn’t good enough form to win at Group 1 level.

10. Ethel Maude ($17)

This stable knows how to get stayers up and running. She comes off a win at Pakenham in maiden grades, and it came easily.

Her odds have drifted after opening at $15, but she’s good enough to be around the mark.

11. Peaky Ridge ($126)

A winner at Warrnambool last time out, but as the odds suggest, she would need to lift to win.

12. Vieste ($201)

A winner two back but she followed it up with two poor efforts. Looking for something much easier.

13. Another You ($67)

Yet to win from five starts, and this isn’t an easy race to win as a maiden.

14. Everlasting You ($61)

Didn’t fire last time out, and we’re not keen enough to include her in selections.
