Wales vs England Six Nations Prediction, odds, and betting offers

All of the talk ahead of Wales’s clash with England in Cardiff this weekend has been on off-field dramas, with talks of strike-action from the Welsh team getting in the way of pre-match build.

In recent months, the Welsh team has felt chaotic both on and off the pitch, but a determined Warren Gatland hopes to turn the tide with a feel-good win over England. Steve Borthwick’s men will come into the game feeling confident after securing their first win of the Championship against Italy at Twickenham. This promises to be one of the most emotionally-charged encounters of this year’s Six Nations, let’s see how the bookies think it will play out.

Wales vs England Prediction

Saturday’s clash between Wales and England is one of their most interesting encounters in recent memory. Wales will come into the match with a point to prove following a very public dispute with the WRU. The fans will be on their side and will be hoping that Gatland’s men can turn it around. A victory over England would go some way into papering over the cracks in Cardiff, while a defeat would only further add to their misery. The bookies anticipate the team’s bad form to continue, with Wales being the outsiders at 21/10 with Bet365.

On the other hand, England will come into Saturday’s game hoping to build on a strong performance against Italy in their last match. Steve Borthwick’s side got off to a rocky start with an opening loss to Scotland but looked much more assured against Italy. While Wales’s recent home form suggests that they are there for the taking, Borthwick is not likely to underestimate them. England are favourites in the match at 10/23.

We will be backing an England win in this one. The Welsh will want to display unity after a turbulent few weeks, but their lack of coherence as a team and their terrible home form will work against them.

England -6 Handicap at 10/11

Saturday’s showdown in Cardiff is tough to call, but we fancy England to build on their win over Scotland and add to Wales’s miserable start to the Championship. It won’t be easy, though, with the Principality not being the kindest venue to England in recent visits. We are giving them a slight handicap at -6 to overcome Wales and pick up their first Six Nations win in Cardiff in six years at 10/11 with Spreadex.

Anthony Watson- Anytime Try Scorer at 15/8

Anthony Watson makes his first full start for England in two years on Saturday, replacing the injured Ollie Hassell-Collins on the wing. Watson has an exceptional try-scoring record against Wales, having tallied up four tries against them in his career. Notably, he has scored tries in consecutive Six Nations ties against the Welsh and will want to make it a hat trick when they meet in Cardiff this weekend. He can be found in the any-time try scorer market at 15/8. You could also try a more optimistic 11/1 first try-scorer bet. Both odds are available at Bet365.

Wales Points Under 17.5 at 5/6

Wales fans, look away now. The Welsh come into this game on an abysmal run of form, and there is a good chance that Saturday’s game will only add to that. The Welsh have come up short in both games so far and could be heading for a Wooden Spoon in this year’s Championship. They scored just 10 and 7 against Ireland and Scotland, respectively, and have failed to pass the 17.5 mark in three of their last four games. At odds of 5/6 with Bet365, this could be worth a punt.
