Want to own a piece of Arlington Park? Kitchen auction begins racetrack's liquidation
The first of many public auctions of items from the Arlington Park Racecourse is taking place. The lot of 645 items includes a portable 4-door beverage display cooler for $900. Nostalgia items, including the finish line pole and bronze statue, are expected to be auctioned in mid-September. The first auction is expected in $2.5 million in revenue. It's still unknown if the items will include the iconic "Against All Odds" bronze bronze sculpture. There will be 10 to 15 more events over the next three months. Arlington is selling its assets to the Chicago Bears.
