The Washington Capitals are back in the playoff hunt with back to back wins by the final of 2-1. Each one was impressive. Thanks to the Rangers winning the battle of New York over the Islanders and the Penguins (ew) beating the Red Wings, the Caps are just a point back of the second playoff spot heading into tonight's game at the Calgary Flames.
The Caps and Flames meet for the second and final time this season. They last met in the very second game of the season on Oct. 16 at Capital One Arena where the Capitals overcame a two goal deficit to defeat the Flames 3-2 in the shootout. This is the fifth and final game of Washington's road trip and they look to end it with a 3-2 trip which is always sucessful of a trip if you win more games than you lose.
