We simulated Liverpool vs Tottenham to get a Premier League score prediction

Liverpool have the chance to make it four wins on the bounce and boost their Premier League top-four hopes when they take on Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday at Anfield.

Goals from Cody Gakpo and Joel Matip saw Liverpool come from behind to beat West Ham United 2-1 in their last outing, making it three Premier League victories in a row. It's the first time this season the Reds have done so, and they will be looking to continue their impressive form when they face Spurs.

The north London side have won just one of their last six games, but they still sit ahead of Liverpool by one point having played a game more. Victory for Jurgen Klopp's men would take them above their opponents.

So can the Reds do it? Let's take a look.

Liverpool vs Spurs score predicted by simulation

To complete this simulation, we used FIFA 23 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We predict that Liverpool could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Jota.

We predict that Spurs could line up in a 3-4-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Forster; Romero, Dier, Lenglet; Porro, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Davies; Kulusevski, Kane, Son.

It was a very even first half at Anfield, with both sides creating some decent chances, but neither team could find the net. Liverpool started on top after the restart, though, and they took a deserved lead through Curtis Jones.

A long ball forward from Trent Alexander-Arnold picked out Jordan Hednerson down the right, and the midfielder took the ball all the way to the byline before pulling it back to Mohamed Salah. Rather than shooting, Salah fizzed a pass into Jones, and the Englishman produced a cheeky rabona finish to lift the ball over Fraser Forster to make it 1-0.

But, minutes later, the Reds were pegged back to 1-1. Spurs beating Liverpool's high line to break through on goal before Harry Kane slotted the ball through the legs of Alisson.

Klopp then introduced Thiago and Luis Diaz to try and tilt the game back into his side's favour - and it worked, with the latter restoring their lead.

As Spurs held possession inside the Liverpool half, Alexander-Arnold intercepted a pass before launching a ball forward for Diaz to chase. The Colombian latched onto the ball before surging past Cristian Romero on the left, and one-on-one, the winger curled past Forster for Liverpool's second of the afternoon and his first goal since returning from injury.

Gakpo struck the post moments before Tottenham went up the other end and did the same, with Kane missing a great chance to draw his team level. As Spurs smelt blood, they threw bodies forward, but it left them exposed at the back and Jones grabbed a second to guarantee the three points.

The Reds hit Spurs on the break once again, with Thiago leading a four-on-one attack. The Spaniard played in Andrew Robertson on the overlap and he drilled a cross into the box, where Jones tapped into the net for a big victory.

FIFA 23 predicted score: Liverpool 3-1 Spurs

FIFA 23 predicts that Liverpool could make it four wins in a row, beating Tottenham 3-1 in the simulation. Curtis Jones continued his fine form with two goals, but Spurs were dangerous on the break, showing that the Reds must remain wary.
