Rugby swim club is well respected around the country and competitive in every age group nationally. Secher believes that artistic swimming is a great sport for girls. Rugby won 10 medals at the Regional Age Groups Competition in March, seven of which were gold. Rugby did not achieve any medals in the National Championships in May. The club held their own competing against the best artistic swimmers in Britain. They had about 25 swimmer. It is important for Secer that teenage girls have their safe space in a sporting environment. She believes it is also important that they keep playing until they go to university.
