Week 3 college football picks, odds, lines, 2023 best bets from proven expert: This 3-leg parlay returns 6-1

Through two weeks, coach Deion Sanders and the No. 18 Colorado Buffaloes have shown they can cover as large underdogs and small favorites. Now they face a big line in the SportsLine consensus Week 3 college football odds as they are 23-point home favorites against in-state rival Colorado State at 10 p.m. ET on Saturday. That's one of the top games bettors will be paying attention to during the Week 3 college football schedule.

Conference matchups such as No. 11 Tennessee at Florida (+6.5), No. 14 LSU at Mississippi State (+9.5) and No. 7 Penn State at Illinois (+14.5) are some of the other Week 3 college football spreads of note. Before locking in any Week 3 college football picks on those games or others, be sure to see the top Week 3 college football expert picks, predictions and best bets from Barrett Sallee.

Now, he has turned his attention to the Week 3 college football odds and is sharing his top three best bets over at SportsLine. If you parlay them together, you could be looking at a return of around 6-1. Get his top college football picks at SportsLine.

Top Week 3 college football expert predictions

One of Sallee's top Week 3 college football picks: He's going Over 48.5 points in the matchup between No. 3 Florida State and Boston College at noon ET on Saturday.

It's been a tough start to the season for the Eagles, who lost their opener 27-24 to Northern Illinois and then barely held off Holy Cross 31-28 in Week 2. At least they're scoring some points, however, and that's what bettors taking the Over want to see in this matchup.

Sallee expects most, if not all, of the points to come from Florida State, however. The Seminoles dropped 45 on LSU in Week 1 and then a whopping 66 on Southern Miss in Week 2. He's not concerned about Boston College's crowd impacting this game much as he sees FSU lighting up the scoreboard enough to potentially handle this number by itself.

"The Over has hit in both of the Seminoles games and, for what's it worth, the only Eagles game with a listed point total also hit the Over," Sallee told SportsLine. "There won't be any home-field advantage in this one, so Florida State won't have any issue staying focused. Coach Mike Norvell will unleash his offense against a wildly overmatched Eagles defense which will send Florida State over the total by itself." See what else Sallee likes at SportsLine.

How to make Week 3 college football picks

Sallee has also found two other college football picks he loves, including going Over a total he says is way too low in what should be a "defensively-driven" matchup. You can only see his picks at SportsLine.
