What are the Mariners’ odds to win the World Series?
The new-look MLB playoffs are here. There are four three-game wild-card series for the first time. The top two seeds in each league receive a bye to the ALDS and NLDS. This year’s field features the reigning champion Braves, the regular heavyweights, both New York squads, six teams from the East divisions and the Mariners for first since 2001.
The Dodgers, Astros, Yankees and Braves are the favorites to win the World Series in 2022. The best odds belong to the Mets at +850. Four teams have the worst odds at -2500. The other three are 5-seeds in the Mariners and Padres and the NL's 6-seed in Phillies. They are followed by the 2- seeds, the Blue Jays, Rays and Cardinals.
Houston Astros are the favorite to win the AL pennant. Cleveland Guardians are second in the odds. Tampa Bay Rays are third. The Rays-Guardians winner will meet the Yankees in ALDS. Houston and Toronto Blue Jays will play the Seattle Mariners winner in World Series.
The Dodgers are a large favorite entering the postseason. The Braves won 101 games last year and beat the Mets in last season's NCLCS. New York Mets will beat San Diego Padres in the wild-card round, and the Cardinals will defeat the Phillies.
