Harbhajan Singh has expressed regret at the IPL 2008 slapgate incident involving former India National Cricket Team pacer S Sreesanth. Harbhaja was the captain of Mumbai Indians at that time. Sreevan was crying after the incident and was caught by the TV cameras before the presentation ceremony.

"I made a mistake. My teammate and I had to face embarrassment. A real man is someone who admits his mistake."

Harbhajan Singh was banned for the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League and for five ODI matches. He was also banned from collecting his salary. The off-spinner admitted that he made a big mistake.
