The Seattle Kraken face the Vegas Golden Knights at the 2023 Winter Classic as the NHL tries to kick off the hockey new year with a bang from the Emerald City. Tipoff takes place at 12 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET (2 p.m. CT) on Monday, January 1 with a live broadcast on TNT, or streaming live on demand.

This will be an important showdown between the Golden Knights and the Kraken, as Seattle has been surging of late with three straight wins and a playoff spot in reach if they can sustain their strong play. This is the second of four games that will be played between the two divisional opponents this season. The Kraken lost to Vegas 4-1 when these teams opened the NHL season on Oct. 10.

The 2023 NHL Winter Classic is being played at T-Mobile Park, traditionally home to Major League Baseball’s Seattle Mariners. It is the 34th different venue to host a regular season game, and the 11th ballpark to have been the home of an NHL affair.
