What will it take for Blackhawks to be NHL’s worst team?

Finishing last in the NHL in 2022-23 would guarantee the Blackhawks a top-three draft pick. General manager Kyle Davidson probably won't declare that his goal for the season.

The Hawks finished last season with 68 points, which was more than the other teams. The team's roster was overhauled after the trade deadline and the offseason. It's possible the team will be even worse this season. Coyotes and Canadiens are tanking and are better at losing than Hawks.  

Davidson's Chicago Blackhawks are not the NHL's worst team. They will be in the bottom three by 2022-23 season. Davidson will try to trade players before the trade deadline.
