Clayton Keller is a key player for the Arizona Coyotes. He has signed a contract extension worth $7.15 million AAV. He is improving his game after a season-long injury. Arizona fans should be thankful for him. They should also be grateful for a team-friendly contract. The franchise has had a lot of uncertainty recently. It's good to have a player with the same level of production as Keller.

The 2023 draft class of the Arizona Coyotes looks loaded with quality talent. The team is expected to finish last in the NHL's standings this season. If that happens, they will have the highest odds of landing the draft's top selection. They will also have a chance to pick Matvei Michkov or Leo Carlsson.  The team wants to build for the long term and add as many talented prospects as possible. It is thankful for this crop of prospects.

The Arizona Coyotes are looking for a long-term home. They are currently sharing Mullett Arena with the Arizona State University Sun Devils hockey program. The arena's capacity hovers around 5,000. It's a unique venue that provides interesting opportunities for the team to pursue. However, it's unfit to be the Coyotes' long term home and they are seeking a solution in Tempe.

Arizona Coyotes have a lot of cap space. They are hoping for a busy trade market. The team has a stockpile of draft picks for the 2024 draft, but their 2023 is looking comparatively thin. They have the ability to retain salary on two players in advance of this year's trade deadline. This year, they may be able to charge higher prices for that.
