Where have all the Munster props gone?
Tony Buckley has won 88 provincial caps and 21 caps for Ireland. He has started only seven Heineken Cup matches for Munster. Buckley's talent is undeniable, but he has never proved his worth at the top level. He is a good scrum-half when his tight game is on par with his loose game. Gert Smal has described him as "world class".
Buckley has left Munster for the English Premiership. Mike Ross is unlikely to move south. J Botha is a more likely capture. Peter Bracken is an option for Munsters. Peter Borlase is yet to convince. Stephen Archer and Dave Ryan are short on power and experience. The province has produced scrummaging heavyweights of the calibre Tom Clifford, Phil O'Callaghan, Ginger McLoughlin and Peter Clohessy.
