Who are NBA Finals favorites? 2023 playoff odds like Bucks, Giannis.

Could we get a rematch of the 2021 NBA Finals between the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns two months from now?

The oddsmakers certainly think so.

The Bucks, who defeated the Suns for their first NBA championship in 50 years behind the MVP efforts of Giannis Antetokounmpo two years ago, are the top seed in the Eastern Conference and await their first-round playoff opponent after the play-in tournament finishes this week. Game 1 is set for Sunday at Fiserv Forum.

The Suns, who acquired superstar Kevin Durant in a blockbuster trade midseason, are the fourth seed in the Western Conference and open with the fifth-seeded Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.

Both the Bucks and Suns bowed out in the second round of the playoffs on the same day last year, but with veteran teams again they each have their eyes on raising the Larry O'Brien Trophy.

Here's what the oddsmakers are saying at a few betting sites on the Bucks' NBA Finals chances ahead of the 2023 NBA playoffs.

NBA Finals champion

The Bucks, who have home court advantage throughout the playoffs, are the favorites to win their third NBA title at +250 (a $100 bet gets you $250). The Boston Celtics, the Eastern Conference champions last season and the No. 2 seed this year, are next at +340. The Suns (+440) and Golden State Warriors (+800), seeded fourth and sixth, respectively in the Western Conference, are next. The Philadelphia 76ers (+850), the third-seeded team in the Eastern Conference, have the fifth best odds.

NBA Finals matchup odds

The Bucks-Suns NBA Finals matchup is what oddsmakers favor most. The Bucks to beat the Suns comes in at +1000; the Suns topping the Bucks is at +1200; the Celtics over the Suns has the next best odds at +1500; the Bucks over the Warriors comes in at +1500; the Bucks over the Denver Nuggets (+1700) and Warriors over the Bucks (+2000) are also among the favored matchups.

Eastern Conference championship odds

While the oddsmakers don't favor the top seeds in the Western Conference (the Nuggets, Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings are the top three seeds), they're going chalk with the Eastern Conference. The Bucks are the favorites to win the conference at +107; the Celtics come in at +145.
