It's getting tighter at the top as teams start to disappear from the World Cup now. Brazil have remained out on their own as favourites throughout.

Argentina are the current favourites for the 2022 World Cup. Denmark, Germany and Belgium have already fallen behind.

Brazil are the favourites for the World Cup. They won their opening two games and are in the last 16. Since Ronaldo's Redemption in 2002 they have only made it past the quarter-finals once. Brazil are only non-Europeans to win the tournament since Diego Maradona won in 1986.

Argentina have a formidable squad that blends youth and experience. They haven't lost a game since the 2019 Copa America. Argentina beat Mexico on Saturday and Poland on Tuesday. Instead of a last-16 clash with France, they now face Australia.

France won both games against Australia and Denmark. They lost to Tunisia in the final group game. France are now third favourite for the 2022 World Cup. Argentina are the favourites for that tournament.

Spain beat Costa Rica 7-0 in their opening game of the World Cup. They drew with Germany and finished second in Group E. Germany are favourites for the 2022 World cup. Argentina are the current favourites. Germany, Belgium are no longer the favourites to win the tournament.

England beat Wales 3-0 to almost certainly qualify for the last 16 of the World Cup. They play Senegal in the next round. France will play Poland in a quarter-final. Argentina are the favourites for 2022 World Cups.
