Gareth Bale's goal for Wales against Ukraine in the World Cup play-off final was ruled an own-goal by FIFA. However, the Football Association of Wales confirmed that after a review, Bale has been awarded the goal. Fans who placed bets on the match are unlikely to receive a payout for their bets. Wales take on United States of America in their World cup opener on November 21. They then play Iran four days later and England on 29 November. Wales return to action against Belgium and Poland in September. The team will play the group stage against England. It is the first time in 64 years that they have qualified for the tournament.
