Wilfried Nancy leaves CF Montreal to take over as head coach of the Columbus Crew

Wilfried Nancy has left CF Montreal to take over the Columbus Crew. Nancy was a finalist for MLS coach of the year. He was under contract with Montreal through the 2023 season. The Crew finished 8th in the Eastern Conference last season and missed out on the playoffs. Montreal finished second in East with a 20-9-5 record. Nancy is taking three members of his Montreal staff with him to Columbus. Jim Curtin won the Sigi Schmid Coach of Year Award. Chicago Fire fired Caleb Porter after the regular season ended. New York City FC beat Montreal in a semifinal.
