Will Lionel Messi play Wednesday? How to watch Inter Miami vs. Toronto MLS clash

Inter Miami hosts Toronto at DRV PNK Stadium following its first loss in the MLS since Lionel Messi joined the team, and the question on everyone’s mind is whether the Argentinian superstar will return to action for the game on Wednesday, September 20 (9/20/2023).

Inter Miami vs. Toronto will be broadcast exclusively via live stream on the MLS Season Pass from Apple TV+. It will not air on cable TV.

Messi sat out during Miami’s game against Atlanta United, and his presence was missed as Inter Miami fell 5-2 in its first loss across competitions since the July 15 3-0 loss to St. Louis. Messi was suffering muscular fatigue after a short break from the team for international play in Argentina.

While Messi’s status is still officially unknown for Wednesday’s game, ESPN sources reported that he was a full participant in Tuesday’s practice session, and is expected to return as a starter against Toronto. Jordi Alba’s status also remains unconfirmed for Wednesday.
