With 6 College Football Playoff contenders left, what does each need to make the field?

The College Football Playoff committee's top four teams all play this weekend. Teams ranked No. 5 through No 7 do not. The committee will announce its final rankings on Sunday. Clemson's loss made the ACC title game irrelevant. LSU's and Texas A&M's losses made SEC Championship Game irrelevant outside of seeding. Michigan's game with Purdue in the Big Ten Championship is irrelevant as well.

No. 3 TCU plays No. 10 Kansas State in the Big 12 championship game. The Wildcats beat TCU 28-10 in October, but they lost to them 38-28 in November.

If TCU loses, the conversation gets a little complicated. If USC wins, TCU would need the committee to put it in ahead of Ohio State. The good news for TCU is that Kansas State made it to the top 10. If Alabama loses and TCU also loses it's not certain the team would be in the field.

LSU's loss to A&M eliminates any hope LSU had of crashing the field. Georgia's wins over Tennessee and Oregon are two of the best wins any team has. The Bulldogs are 17.5-point favorites to the Tigers.
