World Cup FIFA Young Player Award

The FIFA Young Player Award is given to the best player under 21 years old at the 2022 World Cup. The award is for players born before January 1, 2001.

The FIFA Young Player Award has been given to a European player every year but once. Landon Donovan won it in 2002 with Team USA. An attacking player has won the award four of the last five times.

Bukayo Saka is a contender for the FIFA Young Player Award. He has played for Arsenal this season and has scored 11 goals and made 16 assists. Ska has also played five games for England during the World Cup qualification.

Nuno Mendes played 521 minutes in nine games for Portugal during the UEFA Nations League qualifications. He played 90 minutes per match in the tournament. Mende controls the game from the back and is excellent at converting tackles to possession.

Gio Reyna is a young player who is playing for USA at the World Cup. Reynas is converting 0.49 goals per 90 and creating 2.46 shot-creating actions per90. The USA is expected to finish second in their group and make it to the Round of 16.
