Netherlands finished 1st in Group A. They scored five goals in two games and conceded two. USA scored only two goals and kept two clean sheets. The difference in quality probably favors Netherlands to qualify to the quarter-finals.

England won Group B over USA, Iran and Wales. Senegal lost the first match against Netherlands but went on to win against Qatar and Ecuador. England and Senegal are playing each other in the World Cup.

Argentina and Australia both lost in the group stage. They both won two consecutive matches in MD-2 and MD3. Argentina defeated Mexico and Poland 2-0. Australia defeated Denmark and Tunisia 1-1.

France is one of three teams that secured qualification in MD-2. France lost to Tunisia in the MD 3. Poland played like the Australians but failed to keep Argentina from scoring.

Japan and Croatia are playing in the World Cup. Japan won the group despite losing to Costa Rica. Croatia won only one game, against Canada. The team that won against Croatia went to the 2018 World cup final.

Spain started off the World Cup with a 7-0 hammering of Costa Rica. Spain then drew with Germany and lost to the Japanese. Morocco conceded just one goal in the group stage.

Korea Republic had the lowest odds to qualify for the 2022 World Cup. Brazil qualified comfortably by defeating Serbia and Switzerland. Korea Republic beat Portugal 2-1 to take second place from Uruguay.

Portugal lost the last match 1-2 against South Korea. Switzerland struggled against Cameroon, Brazil and Serbia but came out on top twice.

This is a subjective difficulty table. FIFA rankings may not differentiate between teams in the Round of 16. Green teams are easy to win, yellow teams winnable, orange teams lose. The color code is as follows: Green: Easy to beat, Yellow: Winnables, Orange: Hard to lose, Red: Expectations to be lost.

Green is a simple match that should be won with little trouble, Yellow is winnable but not straightforward, Orange is against a tough team and Red is expected to lose.
