Morocco beat Portugal 1-0 on Saturday to reach the World Cup semifinals. France beat England 2-1 to also reach this stage. The winner will play Croatia or Argentina in the final on December 17th.
Morocco defeated Portugal 1-0 in the quarterfinals of the World Cup in Qatar. Youssef En-Nesyri scored the only goal of this match in 42nd minute. Portugal had 27 percent of possession and conceded 12 shots, but they managed only three on goal. Cristiano Ronaldo missed a late chance in 91st minute for Portugal.
France beat England 2-1 in the quarterfinals. Aurélien Tchouameni and Olivier Giroud scored the goals. Harry Kane scored a penalty for England. France is through to the semifinals. Morocco stands in their way. France won the World Cup in 2002. They are aiming to repeat that feat in 2022.
Croatia and Argentina are playing in the World Cup semifinals on Tuesday at 2 pm ET. Morocco and France are also playing on Wednesday at 6 pm.
