Get an early jump on the biggest event in the wrestling world with our breakdown of the WrestleMania 40 odds from our best sports betting sites.

The road to WrestleMania is officially underway as WWE Superstars prepare for the biggest night in sports entertainment. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the show, which has provided us with some of the most memorable moments in wrestling history.

Of the two winners of the Royal Rumble, only Bayley has selected her opponent for her title shot, calling out Iyo Sky last Friday night. The men’s title picture seemed clear after the Rumble, but has become a bit more murky now that The Rock has entered the frame.

Right now, the books are offering odds on the matches they expect to see in April. Of course, until these matches are made official, everything should be taken with the assumption that it will all change several times leading up to the event.

We're looking at the best WrestleMania 40 odds for WWE's premier event at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

WrestleMania 40 matchups and analysis

The Rock (+300) vs. Roman Reigns (-500)

Cody Rhodes stood on the ropes pointing at Roman Reigns in the suites after winning the Royal Rumble last month. It seemed at that time that the American Nightmare had chosen his opponent for the main event at WrestleMania 40. A lot has happened since then and it seems plans have changed.

First, Seth Rollins interrupted Rhodes on Monday Night Raw attempting to put his title on the line in April. A few days later on SmackDown, Rhodes had another visitor during his spot with Reigns. Fans erupted as The Rock entered the arena and shared a wordless moment with Reigns. The WWE is starting to cast some doubt now on just what we will see in a couple of months.

A match between The Rock and Roman Reigns has not been officially announced. Further still, if that match does happen, it may not even be a title match. However, the books are willing to speculate on this contest. They feel Reigns will come out on top of it.

That said, a win by The Rock could light a fire under the company and recapture some fans it may have lost over the last few years.

Cody Rhodes (-600) vs. Seth Rollins (+350)

This matchup has seen its fair share of twists and turns so far with more to come for sure. The men’s Royal Rumble match concluded with Rhodes fully intent on taking on the Tribal Chief for the WWE Universal Championship. However, after Rollins campaigned for the winner of the Rumble to take him on instead, we could see a different storyline play out.

Rollins announced he was injured a few weeks back, which seemed to have counted him out for a main event at WrestleMania. But, he has made it clear that he will be fully rehabilitated by April and wants Rhodes to choose him for the title match. It remains to be seen which offer the Rumble winner takes.

Oddsmakers could be feeding into two narratives that are driving Rhodes’ odds. First, Rhodes has several big victories against Rollins including WrestleMania 38 and the 2022 Hell in a Cell. Second, the WWE could bring Rollins’ injury into play. The champ came out in a knee brace a few weeks back following his MCL tear. It feels like a great lead into a Rhodes victory against a weakened Rollins.

Women's Championship: Bayley (-1250) vs. Iyo Sky (+550)

Up until last Friday night, Damage CTRL was poised to hold all the gold in the WWE Women’s division. Currently, the Kabuki Warriors are tag team champions and Iyo Sky is the Women’s Champion. After winning the Women’s Royal Rumble, Bayley was supposed to add the missing piece by grabbing the Women’s World Championship title from Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania.

All of that changed on SmackDown though as the Role Model finally confronted her team and called them out on their recent mockery of their leader. In a passionate in-ring announcement, Bayley admitted that she had understood the teasing in Japanese and was less than pleased. During the rant, Auska and Kairi Sane attacked their former leader, effectively severing all bonds. Moments later, Bayley announced she would see Sky at WrestleMania.

The move makes sense given that both Bayley and Sky are on the SmackDown roster. This will prevent a potentially difficult brand crossover on a week to week basis. It will also give us a more logical match for Ripley at Mania and the opportunity for another title match.

Women's World Championship: Rhea Ripley (-400) vs. Becky Lynch (+250)

The WWE did a solid job of casting doubt over who would win the Women’s division in the weeks leading up to the Royal Rumble. While Bayley was the clear favorite and ultimate champion, many names were floated out even days before the match.

Of those, Becky Lynch was heating things up and looked to move ahead of Bayley at times. She and Ripley shared several moments inside the ring and seemed poised to be the headliners at WrestleMania. However, after Lynch was eliminated from the Rumble, the path to a showdown with Ripley seemed to disappear.

Now, with Bayley recently announcing her intentions of facing Iyo Sky for the WWE Women’s Championship, the path is clear for Lynch to resume her feud with Ripley. Nothing has been made official as of yet, but a title match between these two would make sense.

How to bet on WrestleMania 40

Unlike most sporting events, the scripted nature of the WWE offers some unique challenges to the books. On the one hand, much like football, baseball, basketball, etc., the fans don’t know the outcome of a match. However, those participating as well as those who wrote the storyline do.

Because you are betting on a predetermined outcome, the odds reflect it. Most often, the books lean heavily to one side of the story and make the lines for the favorites almost out of reach. However, since it is not unheard of for surprises in the ring, it’s not a bad idea to take a shot on long shots with upside.

You can expect to see these lines shift several times over the next few months as storylines continue to play out. The card could also look much different in the next few weeks as well. It’s best to keep an eye on the books for all of these changes.

How do WrestleMania odds work?

In wrestling, you are betting on the winner of the match by the declaration of the referee. For example, if you bet $10 on Becky Lynch at +250 to beat Rhea Ripley for the title, you would win $25 with a total payout of $35 if she's announced the winner.
