WTA Monastir Day 2 Predictions Including Martic vs Fruhvirtova
Monastir is hosting its first WTA Tour-level event. Ons Jabeur is the top seed. Veronika Kudermetova and Petra Martic will play their openers on Tuesday.
Anastasia Potapova and Mirra Andreeva are playing each other in the second round of the WTA Monastir tournament. Potabova won her first Wta title in Istanbul earlier this season and reached another final in Prague. Andreesva is a 15-year-old junior who is making her WTT debut.
Magdalena Frech is on a three-match losing streak. Yasmine Mansouri has 45 wins in 71 matches. The 21-year-old has risen to her career-high of 574 in the rankings.
Tamara Zidansek lost in straight sets to Simona Waltert in Parma last week. Marina Bassols Ribera has been playing on the ITF circuit. She came back from a set down against Olivia Tjandramulia and won after retirement from Harmony Tan.
Petra Martic and Linda Fruhvirtova are playing each other in the first match of the tournament. Marti won 32-19, while Frouh Virtova has gone 27-16. Frueh Vitova started the year at No. 279 in rankings, but has risen over 200 spots and got a guaranteed place in Australian Open. Petra Martics has not lost a first-round match since Eastbourne in June.
