SmackDown Women’s Championship Best Bet

The SmackDown Women’s Championship remains on Raw and there’s been no indication of when that will be addressed and fixed. In the meantime, Ripley will continue to dominate the Raw women’s division as champ, making her a heavy favorite over Natalya at Night of Champions.

It’s clear that Natalya is merely a filler opponent for Ripley before more credible challengers can be built up for Ripley to defend against. She’s an established name The Nightmare can overcome with ease.

Intercontinental Championship Pick

Mustafa Ali favors slightly better in the odds at +600 than Natayla, solely because WWE likes their occasional upsets fans don’t see coming. That said, it would be asinine for Gunther’s record-setting reign as Intercontinental champion to end at Night of Champions.

Ali scoring some offense and perhaps coming close to victory a time or two would make for a fun outing, but Gunther maintaining his possession of the prestigious prize is the only acceptable outcome.

Raw Women’s Championship Prediction

Asuka already fought Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39 and fell short, so it’s hard to imagine that she’ll fail for a second straight time. Belair broke WWE’s record as the longest-reigning women’s champ of the “modern era” earlier this month and thus it’s plausible that her run could come to an end as soon as Saturday.

It’s just as believable that Belair would retain ahead of an eventual clash with Charlotte Flair, leaving these two tied in the odds for Night of Champions at +100. A non-finish of some sort might be the best way to build toward a feud-ending stipulation match.

Lynch vs Stratus Best Bet

This battle of two of the best ever has the potential to be a show-stealer given the level of talent involved despite the feud largely falling flat in recent weeks. Lynch has held up her end well while Stratus has found her footing in the heel role.

All signs point to this being an extended program with more matches, hence Lynch giving Stratus her comeuppance here would be premature. Stratus needs at least one win over Lynch so it means something when she’s eventually beaten, so Stratus is the safe choice in their first encounter.

Rhodes vs Lesnar Pick

Cody Rhodes shockingly managed to keep Lesnar down for a three count at Backlash, but throughout Lesnar’s illustrious career, almost nobody has done it twice. Rhodes pulling off that incredible feat would be a massive momentum booster for him, but it’s not looking likely.

Lesnar’s brutal attack on Rhodes on Raw this week makes him the slight favorite -150. That “injury” to Rhodes gives him an out for losing and a reason for a rubber match.

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Prediction

Roman Reigns has enough gold in his collection and absolutely does not need more in the form of the tag titles, but that doesn’t make him any less of a threat to Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. Best case scenario would see The Usos get involved and inadvertently cost The Bloodline the win.

Reigns and Sikoa becoming champs isn’t impossible, but Owens and Zayn emerging victorious is the better bet.

World Heavyweight Championship Best Bet

WWE can’t go wrong in crowning either AJ Styles or Seth Rollins as the first-ever World Heavyweight champion, but Rollins has been the favorite since the moment the belt was introduced. He’s been directionless since WrestleMania and could use this world title win to get back on track.

At +250, Styles shouldn’t be completely counted out and would be just as deserving of a run with the newly-created championship.
