Xavi Hernández Reminisces About Jonathan Dos Santos Ahead Of the Match Against Club América

After the league match against Almería, which FC Barcelona snagged in the 83rd minute, Xavi Hernández faced the media to chat about the upcoming friendly on Thursday, December 21st, against the current Liga MX champions, América, in Dallas.

"Props to América. We've got some old mates there. We'll aim to bring our A-game, give everyone some minutes. América's a top-notch team," said the Spanish coach, chatting about the championship and the Club América's current form.

Xavi also reminisced about sharing the locker room in Barcelona with Jonathan Dos Santos, who currently plays for Club América, even spilling the beans about his attempt to bring him to his team. "I tried to sign him for Qatar, but it didn't pan out due to Barça back in 2010. He's got what it takes to play for Barcelona," asserted the FC Barcelona coach.

When asked about jetting off to another continent right after a league match and playing the next day, Xavi empathized with the situation. "Dallas has always treated us well, and we'll try to put our best foot forward. We all know the club's situation, and all we want is to move in the same direction."
