Xavi stopped Barcelona from loaning out breakout La Masia talent in the summer
Alejandro Balde has been called up to the Spanish national team recently. He has become the first-choice left-back for Barcelona in a matter of months. Ramon Planes, former Barcelona sporting director, revealed that the club wanted to loan him out this summer, but Xavi stopped them. Bald's current contract at Barca expires in 2024. There have been talks of a new contract extension.
