Yankees’ Anthony Rizzo praises New York with contract decision looming

Anthony Rizzo has a $16 million decision to make this offseason. He could opt into the second year of his contract in New York or become a free agent. Rizzardo will meet with his agents in early November. The 33-year-old has enjoyed his season and a half with the Yankees. Aaron Boone allowed Rizko to be his co-manager against the Blue Jays. The Yankees clinched the American League East. They won the division. It was Ritzo's first season with them. His contract is two-years, $36 million with a player opt-out clause.

Anthony Rizzo is having a good season at the plate, but he's also had issues with lower-back spasms that required an epidural Sept. 1. He's hitting .228 with 75 RBI and a .836 OPS. Rizzardo enjoys playing at Yankee Stadium.
